It's Over. .


After some rumors reported that Sophie Monk and his long-time boyfriend Benji Madden had split up, finally. . Last February 12, Sophie's agent officially announced that Sophie and Benji have officially split up. The decision was mutual and they remain amicable, according to that agent. Almost a year to the day since Benji proposed then suddenly broke off his engagement.


Sophie Monk is an Australian singer, actress and occasional model. She's a former member of a female pop group Bardot which became successful. After a year, the group disbanded. Soon after Bardot's split, Sophie established a solo career. She also became well-known in Hollywood appearing in movies. Her debut feature role was in Date Movie where she played as the flirtatious and seductive “best man” Andy.

and the WINNER is. . .

And the winner for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading role is none other than. . Marion Cotillard!


Recently, the 80th Annual Oscar Awards ceremony was being held in Los Angeles. The red carpet was being studded by actors and actresses, dressed with elegant gowns and tuxedo. Different movies were nominated in different categories, from Picture of the Year, to Costume Design, Sound Editing, Visual Effect, so on and so forth. Among those awards, the most awaited part was the announcement of the Best Actor and Best Actress. Luckily, the French actress Marion Cotillard was hailed as the Best Actress for playing legendary singer Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose".

Her father is an actor and award-winning director, her mother is also an actress. No wonder where she gets her talent in acting. She started acting during her childhood, appearing on stage in one of her father plays. Her career as a film actress began in the mid-1990's, and rose to prominence in the late 1990'2 when she was cast in the Luc Besson production Taxi. She became widely known in whole France. Her international appearance started when she got a role in Tim Burton's film, Big Fish. This led her to more successful films. After several years of appearing in different movies finally, her talent was recognized and being awarded as the best actress.

Teresa Who?!


Teresa Palmer is an Australian model and actress. Her most recently appearance was in December Boys, an Australian film adapted from the novel of the same name. She appeared as the teenage sweetheart of Daniel Radcliffe's character. Teresa was originally cast as the female lead of Jumper, but was replaced after few weeks of shooting because of some reasons.


She made her debut and breakthrough as Melody in Two Thirty 7, before playing a bullying American schoolgirl in The Grudge 2. Hot and sexy Teresa has an upcoming film Kids in America, and will next be seen in Justice League of America movie.

Anna Paquin a.k.a Rogue


Anna Paquin is an Academy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated actress. Who is grew up in New Zealand and whose only acting experience was as a skunk at a school play, stunned movie-goers from all over the world with her performance as Holly Hunter's angry young daughter in the acclaimed film The Piano. Because of her extraordinary talent, she won an award from Oscar. She's the first Canadian-born actress and the second youngest winner who wins Best Supporting Actress. Though she received an award, Anna and her parents didn't plan to continue in acting circles. But appeared in three commercials for the phone company.


She returned to worldwide prominence with her role as Rogue in the blockbuster X-Men movies. She also starred in Blue State. This year, Anna has two upcoming film Trick 'r Treat and Margaret. Margaret is a drama film, where she will portray the role of a young woman who witnesses a bus accident, and is caught up in the aftermath, where the question of whether or not it was intentional affects many people's lives.

"Rising Star"


After appearing in a starring role and received an Academy Award nomination from the movie Atonement. Her name blooms and became popular. Saoirse Ronan was born in Ireland. If you don't know how to pronounce her name, it's “seer-sha” in traditional Irish but she says it as “sur-shuh”, as in common place in Ireland. She's the daughter of actor Paul Ronan known for films like The Devil's Own and Veronica Guerin.


Because of her talent in acting that captured the eyes of the public, she will be starring in a lead role. The film entitled “The Lovely Bones” which will be release on 2009. It's about a young girl named Susie Salmon, who was brutally raped, finds herself in the afterlife, observing the family on Earth. She watches her family grieve for her and watches her killer, having covered his tracks successfully, prepare to murder again. Susie struggles to balance her desire to find revenge on the killer and to have her family recover from their loss.

"Future Silver Fox?!"


Michelle Monaghan recently appeared in The Heartbreak Kid and Gone Baby Gone films. In order to pay for college, she took a job as a model but then quit from schooling to work full-time as a fashion model. She traveled the world doing stints on the runways, and also enjoyed appearances in a number of magazines and catalogs. Other than being a model, she became interested in acting and received a few minor parts in episodes of television series. She made her big screen debut with a small role of Henrietta in Perfume. Hot and sexy Michelle shot to fame in 2002 when she co-starred as Kimberly Woods for one season on the TV series “Boston Public”. After appearances in several supporting roles, she starred opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer in the black comedy Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, in which she did her first and only on-screen nude scene. She also did Mission Impossible III along Tom Cruise.


Currently, she's filming Eagle Eye. She will play the role of Rachel, a single mother framed as a terrorist. She will star opposite Shia LaBeouf, a young slacker. There are some rumors that she will play Silver Fox, lover of Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie.
