Keira Christina Knightley was one of those good and well known actresses. During her childhood, she noted that she was “single-minded about acting”. She began acting at age seven in her television debut in Royal Celebration and appearing on the television series, The Bill. She appeared in several other made-for-television films in the mid to late 1990's, before being a cast in the science fiction blockbuster Star Wars.

Her breakthrough role was in the english football-themed film, Bend It Like Beckham, which was a success worldwide. After Bend It Like Beckham's Uk release raised her profile, she was cast in the big budget action film, Pirates of the Caribbean (along with Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp) which was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, becoming one of the biggest hits and cementing Kate as a new “It” girl. She also had a role in the British romantic comedy Love Actually, and King Arthur where she was mostly praised for her appearance.

She did her first topless scene at the age of 15, in The Hole. For legel reasons due to her age her mother had to agree and the set was closed. Keira appeared nude along with Scarlett Johansson, on the cover of a magazine. Which made the guys or the males adore her.

At age of 20, she was third-youngest woman in Oscar history to be nominated for Best Actress. The Daily Mirror named her “Actress of the Year” in 2005, and voted second sexiest voice, behind Sir Sean Connery. She was also voted The Sexiest Film Star of All Time by Empire magazine poll. Keira named no. 5 in FHM 's 100 Sexiest Women in the World, and ranked no. 20 in Maxim's Hot 100.

Like some other girls, Keira loves to collect shoes. She uses it in her taping and TV appearances. When she has free time, she reads some books and her favorite book is War an Peace by Leo Tolstoy. She remains a devoted fan of West Ham United and her favorite footballer is former Liverfool Midfielder Igor Biscan.

She is now busy shooting films like at The Duchess in which she will play Giorgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire. She will then play Coco Chanel in a film about Chanel's life. She is a very good actress that's why she's always visible in movies. She's dedicated in developing herself as a serious actress.
