Christina Ricci

Precocious, outspoken child-teen starlet of the 1990's. She has endured a status as a child star, teenage idol and today has emerged as mature leading lady, dividing roles between independent films and mainstream blockbusters. Currently, she holds her own production company, Blaspheme films, responsible for Pumpkin and Prozac Nation.

Christina Ricci was born on February 12, 1980 in Santa Monica, California. She was the fourth and youngest child of Ralph Ricci, a lawyer and psychiatrist, and Sarah Murdoch, a former Ford model and real estate agent. A critic from the Bergen Record discovered her at age eight in a school play at Edgemont School in Montclair, New Jersey. She made her screen debut at the age of nine in Mermaids, in which she worked with Cher. But before that, she did several commercials at the age of six. After her first movie, she starred as Wednesday Adams in the hit film adaptation of The Addams Family. Because of it's success, Christina went on to play Wednesday again in the film's 1993 sequel, Addams Family Values. Her popularity increased dramatically, and she became in high demand in the mid-1990's. She did lot's of box office success films, and one of those was Casper which is one of her popular movies. Christina did not stick with her teenage roles, she began to appear in more adult roles, beginning with her role as troubled, sexually curious Wendy Hood in 1997's, The Ice Storm. Sexy and hot Christina Ricci became a successful actress without formal study in acting.
